it wasnt as expensive as you think. plane ticket to lima is 500, from lima to cusco is around 140 and the tour was around 500(thats because i bought it late) oh and youll need about 300 dollars in spending money. so for like 1500 you'll have a great experience man.

i went all out so i spent quite more than that but if you're smart and not a complete idiot with your money like i am, then you'll be good.

my favorite story is when they found the group of incas that worshiped the mummies of the dead. Any time they wanted to control the people they just took a mummy hostage. If they got out of line they would take a mummy into the street and beat it like a piñata.

They did worse things, but that one is so stupid can't help but love it. One of the most random forms of control i ever heard.

I hate that we destroyed so much of their history though.

everytime i'd walk into a beautiful place in cusco and comment on how awesome it was the guide would tell me about something terrible that the espanols did there.
