I think this is one of those types of pieces where the title plays an intricate part in understanding it.

"Life is a hole," A statement stating that which is, metaphorically speaking. "and I don't get it." A statement stating the subject (I) does not participate in life, as well as being a play on words.

I had to read this piece of few times before I "got it;" as it were.

Conforming to fill holes, dug deep by shallow souls makes me think of ethereal beings being puddles in various deep dirt holes. Which, for some reason, is not a comfortable image for me. Which is a good thing. Poetry isn't always ment to comfort.

Not lingering in dark sadistic hearts, to me, is pretty much just good sound advice in general. I mean, rather than seeing it as a metaphor for something, I take it literally. And literally speaking, I whole-heartedly agree. It's good advice because if one does linger, they maybe might find a hole. This one in particular is another subject, "you."

At the very end, the reader is addressed. Which almost gives it that bit of realness in it, that is the goal of breaking the fourth wall in the first place.

I atually liked this, it was short and sweet, yeah some parts could have been described better and I would have liked to read more to this, but for what it was, i liked it for the most part..keep it up..i really wanna read more from you...
