Graphics Job... Will pay

So, my college is putting together a 'scholarly journal' with theological essays, poems, photography, and even psychology papers.

This picture will be the cover. I don't have exact dimensions right now though. I suspect the picture will be a bit pixelated no matter what, but if you have some filter that might help with that, I'd like it.
Now, what I need for the rest is thus: The bottom part needs to be darkened a bit. Like, so you can just see the roots. Within the roots, I need the text to say "the Agora" in intelligent, fluid letters.
The sub heading underneath will say "Trinity Lutheran College".
