I've ate one green apple
every day for just shy of a decade
& today I vomitted.
year after year
the apple was always there.
the same mundain routine.
poppy to a junkie
sex to a perverse mind
an apple to my kind.
the bitter-sweet taste
eventually lost the ladder
becoming another bitter bitch.
like clockwork
it rose with the morning sun
my apple.
wouldn't want to get sick.
my body in prestine condition,
or so i had thought.
today I've become ill
sick of the same old shit.

I love the metaphorical aspect of this. Trust me... I too have partaken of the same tree
Lol...I think this comment helped me get the poem better. I guess its like a lament of the same old same old that people sometimes experience in their daily lives. word, i guess alot of my writing is cynical and angst-filled, been struggling with drug addiction for some time now i guess its the main inspiration to my writings
