Never really tried deadlifts. You just lift the bar up to your waist and put it down? What does it even do lol.

    Re: Working out

the deadlift works the entire back from the rhomboids to the lats to lower erectors not mention the traps quads, hams, abs, and arms

it's the full body workout in one move i don't suggest it to beginners because it requires strict form.

    Re: Working out

Yeuh, looks like if would fuck up your back like crazy if you weren't using a back brace. But I'm limited to weight at home, so I can't go as high in weight as I want to go for deadlifts so there's no point of me doing it.

    Re: Working out

Deadlifts are awesome. I rotate those biweekly with back extensions but im considering changing it up and deadlifting every week and throwing the extensions in on abs day. Is deadlifting erry week too much?

Every week, you mean once a week or everyday in that week?

    Re: Working out

I see no harm in deadlifting every week. If your doing it once or twice a week, seems an adequate time period for your muscles to heal and prevent tearing or injury. I wouldn't overdue it or try to go too big though

Spanjas only 240lbs, that guy in the avatar is a considerable amount heavier than that it looks like. And pretty sure he's 20 something, not 19

    Re: Working out

My workouts pretty basic. I jog everyday (missed today cuz my knee feels uneasy and I don't want to test it) Push-Ups, Sit-Ups. Gotta condition my body for boxing. Usually when I do weight lifting I try not to push my limits cuz I'm still 18 and I have a couple more years left to finish growing lol plus if you over-exert yourself your doing more harm than good. I'm a fan of the 8 minute arms/abs on youtube :]

depends on how you feel and how much weight you use

i been deadlifting twice a week lately but i'll only do it for a month then after that i'll just do it every 2 weeks and like you i'll back weighted hyper extensions
