I also value Javier really high. He's really really really good. Good OF's are a dime a dozen. I think it evens out since Brad Hawbe ain't no slouch either. Give him 600 AB's, and he has 25+ HR's, 90 RBI's, 85+ R's.

Nobody seems to have a big issue with it. Obviously people will think one person is getting a better deal... but its impossible to have a 100% equal trade. Its all about improving on weak points and losing players where you are deep.

I think trading early kinda allows you to get away with some things because halfway into the season trades tend to go differently. But I'm fine with this one. Not a huge deal.

early season trading is the most fun...
allows you to go for potential...
mid season trades are usually for actual stats til that point.
Like at mid season if Vasquez has a 2.5 ERA with a ton of K's and Holliday is only hitting .260 with 10 HR... then this trade would be seen exactly opposite to what it is now.
