you can get the same thing from Antares Mic Modeler... I know it works with AA3 and Vista...
I'm not familiar with Warmtone, but I'll check it out...
Waves also has a compressor I like to use, I think it's called RComp, but I don't remember for sure... anyway, it has settings to add tube warmth to a vocal...

their site http://www.aipl.com/warmtone.html doesn't mention Vista... only up to XP... but because it's a DX plugin, it should work fine with AA3... and I would guess it SHOULD work with Vista... download, install, refresh effects list (make sure it "looks" for the correct folder)...

Maybe this is you problem. I also tried installing a few vst's and even aa3 for that fact, and it said I was missing something, maybe your missing a 'dll" link because my aa3 wouldn't open without it, and its suppose to be in windows, or maybe that vst isn't even compatible with your program.
