Nah realapse just got negative reception cause of his new delivery and persona, and at least em is changing shit up. Jay ain't fresh, and still ain't going good as he use too.
And Kanye did outshine him, Drake just had a chorus, and i could argue for jeezy, but fuck that cuz jeezy blows.
And Relapse's lyrics were crazy, the wordplay on that album is fucking amazing.
Jay's barely rhyming anymore.
"We are, Yeah I said it, We are, This is Roc Nation, Pledge your allegiance
Get y'all fatigues on, All black everything
Black cards, black cars, All black everything
And our girls are blackbirds, Ridin' with they dillingers
I'd get more in Depth, If you boys really real enough"
I like how there is a thread here on this site about the best CDs of 2009 and BP3 is consistantly named as one of the Best CDs of '09 damn guess the only people who liked it are right here on this site.....everyone else hated it

Thats all that matters! And his delievery wasn't all that sucked and it was ALL that changed which is the problem if he ain't on drugs and talking bout his mother or hating his ex its just no fun... I don't wanna hear about his step dad molesting him sorry even if his flow was crazy.

Man, i think jay is falling off. Cause he's not going as hard as he used to, if you can prove that wrong, hit me up.
And no way he's the best in the game right now. Like, he only dropped BP3 and is on some features, and ain't dropping shit else other then fucking Ghetto Techno.
Stay Wide Awake, Underground, Deja Vu, Beautiful, Hello, > BP3
Are you expecting him to drop another album already?
And he isn't going hard? Then you must not be hearing the same Blueprint 3 we are. Just cause he's not rapping the same as he use to, doesn't mean he fell off. Jay has this thing where he changes his style every few years. I think he's going pretty hard. And it all depends on who's listening. Rappers change with the times, and only a few of them can adapt with the times and still keep it lyrical. Jay is one of them. You're expecting him to stay to his old ways too much.

I never said he was the best I said Lupe, lol. And no he's not going as hard as he used to because he grew up what he supposed to be now Gangsta? That would be fake as hell and I like the adult fell more now than I used to when I was 16 even though I still like some Gansta music I just don't like it all the time now, but saying he fell off because he changed then in the same sentence that Em didn't because he changed is stupid. Especially since one change is being accepted as a good change and the other isn't.....and you're on the wrong side of that argument

There's no way you can say that he's getting lyrically better. And wtf at this new style comment, look at all Em's albums, they're all almost completely different, the closest two are prolly TheES and Encore. And Relapse is a completely new style, with nuts fucking lyricism.
And we're just stuck at a crossroads i guess bud, cuz i do not see Jay improving in any dynamic of rap, like delivery, flow, lyrics, or anything. I just see him seem to stop trying i guess.
The differnce being most people think Em's new style and even though they were different on songs the general opion on most of his flow and content were the same.... it sucked. Yet Jay is in the Top bracket of CDs that came out in '09 and is still shape lyrically while balancing it with commerical success just look at how dope "NY State of Mind" is and that is lyrical or "Venus vs Mars"
and its revealing that "Jay stopped trying" and is stil better than Em so if Jay put his heart into it he'd murder and well Em has been promising to bounce back forever so I assume he really is trying and thats the best he has.... oh well

I never said that he's getting lyrically better. I'm saying he still goes hard. He has a more grown up style of Rap now. I dig that style.
And I'm sorry.. but for you to say Eminem's lyricism in Relapse is that great is crazy. I'm a fan of Eminem and I can say Relapse was just another let down. Jay is not improving the dynamics of Rap, he's maintaining it. He's already done what he has to do in his career. Why would he need to go any further? He's almost a billionaire and has 11 #1 albums. Leave all that shit to the younger guys who have something prove.
But for you to say he fell off and he's not good lyrically is crazy.
