I aint feeling his music to much, but they be playing the shit out of his songs though, girls must like it I don't know.

I have to agree with those on Brother Ali. definitely talented and as has been said, a likeable emcee.

two that many of you might not be familiar with but are definitely worth checking out if u can take an open mind to accents, Kyza - check his latest 'Shots of Smirnoff' full-length. and Lowkey - 'Dear Listener'. both have done a lot in the past too that's more than worthy of a listen. If anyone checks em on this recommendation, let me know what you think, lyrically both very solid and consistent.

I liked Blueprint 3...it didn't disappoint me at all and I'm not even a big fan of Jay-Z. I wouldn't say hes the best right now but he's definatley untouchable. Look at Fifty he can't even get a response from him. I think the closest thing he's gotten as a response is a subliminal few bars on that track "Already Home" from BP3.

Lupe's a personal favorite, he's definatley one of the better rappers out there right now but I haven't heard enough material from him lately to consider him the best... Enemy of State was a bit overhyped, it wasn't that good. Not to say it was a bad mixtape, but in my opinion Lupe just wasn't suited to most of the beats he rhymed over. So is he the best right now? Probably not, but after Lasers comes out? Probably yes.

I like J.Cole alot too though I gotta say, I always liked th eguys music. The Warm Up was a deadly mixtape. I also thought his verse on Jay-Z's track "A Star Is Born" was pretty decent. Given a bit more shine the guy could go a long way.

I'm suprised the first 5 or 6 posts didn't have to do with Drake... not that I think he's the best I'm just used to that. Haha

I think every rapper is bound to make a few bad verses...
I guess being the best has to do with consistency but nobodys perfect. I expect a bad verse or song every now and then.

If I was forced to pick somebody right now, I never did in my other post, I would probably say Royce was definately in the runnings.
