LOL< thats the exact same laptop im using for recording in that pic lol.

but listen, whats your opinion on the easiest way to record the hook, just copy the section where the hooks at, put it into a new project, record, then paste it back into the original?

just recording the hook in general, is there another way of saying it?

    im thinking,

cutting out the hook part in the original intro, setting up a new project, inserting the cut hook from the original song, and just recording from there, then inserting it back into the instro.

you understand where i am coming from or nah?

Not at all. Why don't you just record the hook?

lmao, what im trying to say is, how would i go about recording the hook only 1 time.

so i can use that "1 SAME HOOK" throughout the whole track, instead of recording the hook every time in the song, which would be like 4-5 times.

    Ok lol

You just copy and paste the takes in the different spots. It's pretty simple. But it adds a little more feeling to the track if you record every chorus instead of copying and pasting. Both ways work tho.

on audition... use track 1 for the beat... track 2 for the verses... use track 3 for your hook... when you record the hook, start the cursor at about 20 seconds before where the hook goes, to give yourself time to be ready... then record the hook... from there you'll need to lock the hook in time by right clickin' on the waveform... the hard part is linin' up the rest of the hooks just right... you'll need to put your cursor approximately where the next hook starts, then with your scroll wheel on your mouse zoom in on the track... you'll see the waveform get further and further apart so you can more precisely line up the track... you'll need to play the track and move the hook several times over and over to get it to line up good... unfortunately Audition doesn't have a grid system the way ProTools and some other programs have... I don't know of an easier way to do this... personally, I just record each hook...

He's using Cubase. It's as easy as selecting the regions, clicking copy, then selecting the spot you want them and clicking paste.

Also, no matter which program you're using you should be setting up the project to the tempo of the song. That way there's no guess work when editting. You just put the project in grid mode and everything snaps right on beat when you copy and paste or drag stuff around. Way easier.
