    Help plz anyone studio setup

    Sorry fellaz i know this been covered a million times and i have done my google research as well as other sites but all iam gettin is more and more confusion..

    My current setup is
    two yamaha hs80m monitors and sub
    lexicon lambda
    rode nt1a
    mackie big knob
    and i got a really good comp

    i wanna get close to pro or atleast really good quality vocals i wont be making beats or anything like that just a studio for myself over instrumentals

    ok now should i go with what i was thinking
    neumann u 87 with a focusrite liquid pre and a m audio profire 2626

    anyone i really need help i wanna make my purchase but not sure if i should go with that pre or the avalon or a diff interface i want close to pro once again sorry for buggin and reposting and askin another studio setup but i could really use help

    Liquid channel is nice. 2626 is overkill. You only need an interface with a spdif input. A fast track pro would be fine. For the mic you should try them out and see what you like best for your voice. But before you buy new gear you should build a vocal booth and see what that does for your quality. It will probably have more effect on your sound than spending a bunch of money on equipment to record in an untreated room.

    looks like opie has this covered but no matter what setup you have you need too know how to mix other wise its not going to have that crisp sound

    Very true. But more importantly, you need to know how to record. If you put your effort into achieving a good recording, a good mix will be way easier to achieve.
