I know it can be expensive to draw up lawfully acurate contracts and agreement documents. Are any papers(legit) available for download?
When is it vital to give exclusive rights or lease a beat to an artist? I would like to know more about that area. Besides mixtapes, how would you promote your work?

invest in a good lawyer
Usually as soon as a song is being done you do the paper work with the song writers and the producers on the spot

I have a lawyer man.... Drawing up paper work is time consuming. I do the producing.

if you're selling exclusive rights then it's really the buyer that should be worried. You should still have a solid contract that's revised by a lawyer tho. You only need one for each type of sale. Then use it over and over and get any negotiated changes revised by your lawyer. You can google for boilerplates, which are contract templates. They provide a good starting point for drafting your contracts. Make sure you google any legalese that you're not familiar with too. It'll save you money when your lawyer revises your contracts.
