welders make a better living I believe, I took a welding class in High School, I sucked at it but it didn't seem like something that was too hard once you understood the basics of it.

welding from what i've seen.

if you can tig weld then you're good. and welding is fairly easy. you'll know within the first 6 months if you're gonna be worth anything at it. it's easier to get jobs as a welder too.

welders make roughly 1 1/2 x's what any auto body repair mechanic would... depending on where you are it can go up greatly...
