Shedding Layers
for so many years ive been perched upon an unstable wire
all the while keeping myself coerced to ward away the cables fire
cause its only when the truth hits that the live wire strips
snipped loose exposing the danger..fixed with a pliers tip
tires grip so i dont slip too far from sanity and normality
but the layers are coming loose boiled in soups of reality
its challenging for me to keep the onion from peeling away
and shits not nice when im enticed..asking how im feeling today
while im concealing the shaved side of my layered facade
i cant wait...anticipation dialates my pupils with a mirage
she feels odd knowing the secrets held deepest in her soul
all the lies,hate and acceptance keep us from being whole
it takes more than a toll on you when youve just taken a life
it wouldnt stop crying,you got upset,that doesnt make it right
she killed her child in its sleep,so theres no more shrewd screams
aside from being merely sixteen,she threw away her few dreams
