I know you guys have surround, and for who ever else has it, I have this template that crashed so I can't edit anything, I wanted to see if you hear what I hear when this plays.
The strings are kind of faded out and the piano takes over with 4 speakers, but with two it sounds great. The beginning is just fucked to me. Wish I could edit it, or maybe its just my system, but i doubt that.

also, do I need a better interface than 122L if i'm goign to do surround sound? I mean Im not recording anything, I'm just using plugins, aren't there panners and plugins for complex panning?

If not I'm going profire 610 and cubase 5, opey don't dispute cubases midi support and stability, its better than protools end of story lol, that's fact for PC at least.

well, can u tell me this.

do the little rear speakers labeled "surround Left-B" and "surround Right-B go behind the surround back L and R speakers?
Im pretty sure they do, cant find that info anywhere on the net

i assume it's 5.1?

left and right speakers should be 30 degrees off the center speaker
the Left and Right Surrounds should be placed in the rear essentially 110 degrees off the center speaker

all speakers should be facing the mix position

these are ITU spec for a surround sound control room that i learned in school

LOL dude don't tell me what to dispute. Cubase crashes my Windows XP system just as much as Pro Tools. Yes, I OWN both programs. Also how I can tell you that Cubase 8 and Pro Tools 8 MIDI offers all the same shit. Cubase 7 and Pro Tools 7... yea. Cubase is better, but only with features that I doubt you even know how to use let aone would find useful.

Anyway, I don't have surround, and that's a stereo mix you posted.

Oh, and you should have a Left, Center, Right, Left Surround, and Right Surround. If you have more than that then unplug them. You aren't even equiped to do more than a 5.1 surround mix. I'm curious if you're even mixing in surround. You have to know how to set that up in your DAW and you have to have the proper connections from your computer to your speakers.
