was Asamov's Supa Dynamite credited in the BP3 CD? if not then that's pretty irresponsible.

Right. It's more likely it was whoever altered the beat, not Jay, who's responsible.
Obviously sampling and everything else has always been done in hip hop, but normally when other hip hop songs are sampled it's either a line/chorus or they just chop and loop a certain section, etc. not the "backbone" of the track (beat/melody). The only thing that's really different is a few notes on the drums that were brought forward. To me it's just unoriginal and somewhat dissapointing. I want to hear Jay on new tracks, not recycled stuff from an underground group's album 4 years ago. That's all I'm saying.
I'm sure these artist had a deal with each other it happens all the time, nothing new.

Thats not a Beat Jack, Its just the same Sample...
It happens plenty times...
if You listen to Loco bananas by Big pun.. And I gave You Power By nas.. Thats the same sample too, just different parts of the song..
Better yet, You can listen to "I can" - nas, "The Message" - nas, "Come and talk to me" - apathy & "Impeach the president" - Saigon, Dead Prez & immortal technique.. They all use the same break...
