multiplayer wise i liked halo 2 better, story wise i have no idea, never played the story of halo 1. i think what ruined it for me is becuz i played halo 2 before halo 1.

No way! I never played Halo 1 or Halo 2 but I don't have to because 3 was so awesome it couldnt possibly be beaten!

Word I don't even like Halo anymore because they fucked it up beyond repair when 2 came out. Horrible.
Halo: CE's campaign is A LOT better and challenging on Normal than 2 & 3 are on Legendary.

Halo:CE was indefinitely a better game than Halo 2 or Halo 3 could ever be.
For one, it was the original, it's the one that made everyone face fuck the franchise and milk it for all it's worth.
Secondly, the campaign (that I never even finished) was more fun than what I've seen and done in the campaigns of both Halo 2 and 3 combined.
Last, the multiplayer aspects of CE were waaaay better than that of 2 or 3. The physics are completely different, and if you suck at CE, you suck. If you suck at 2 you still can be considered decent, and if you're decent - considered "good"
In CE, if you suck - you suck, if you're decent - you are, if you're good, cool. The skill gap is huge in this game, it's way more complex, and takes a whole lot more talent than either of the other two.
Personally, I'm better at Halo 2, I spent the most time playing it - I'm beastly at CE, but no where near as good as I was at 2 when I was sponsored and shit. I'm still probably better at CE than 9 out of 10 people, just not the generalization of "everyone" that I can say about 2. Halo 3, I never really played - but from what I hear, (from people who know their shit and were god like at the first installment.) Halo 3 is better than 2 in the aspect of skill, skill-gap, and what it takes to be good at the game.
I know there's a whole fuck load less auto aim, playing it once was enough to noticed they did the opposite of dumbing it down for once. Halo 2 is the childs game of the three.
