It is simple you have to buy the motion sensor and have a pair of Nike+ shoes usually shox have them, not to sure. But any shoe that has a nike logo and a + next to it is applicable. You could easily fake this. Just run in place or shake the shoes back and forth, etc, etc, etc. There are numerous ways as how you could fake this. Unless it's GPS activated than I just fail...actually no, if its GPS activated how would it know if your walking or not? You could put the shoes on and get in a car and drive for 300miles.
running inplace does nothing throwing the shoe does.
Throwing the shoe is too much work though unless you have a dog that can fetch. I don't think I've ran over a mile since high school soccer. And that was like 5 years ago.
