I've seen alot of threads about: The best rappers, The worst Rappers. Seems like nobody can ever agree on these. For example: y'all, Weezy fuckin' suckz. But theres others here who would beg to differ.
So my question to you is this... What kind of rap are you into? What artists have influenced you and your style of writeing all these years and why?
For me?
Project Wyze/Dead Celebrity Status - Rock/Rap:
Their ability to take rap beyond shitty repeptivie techno loops and bad played out mainstream lyrics.. and break it down, speaking true facts on diffrent topics, while still keeping the croweds hype. Trust, these guys can rock stages... though yaz & bobby did it better as project wyze, by far.
Copywrite - Underground Hip-hop:
For the most part this guy is over the top and slept on as hell. If you've heard anouther rapper and call it creative... this guy surpasses that creativity with a hard delivery and rhyme scheme. Though not every track is raw as hell, when it comes to creativity with lines, copywrite. bar none imo.
Some other decent rappers imo that im not gonna go into explanation about:
Cage & weathermen, Slug, Apathy, Grayskul, Binary Star, Brother Ali, Celph Titled, Debaser, Grieves, Immortal Technique, Little Vic, Outerspace, Sandpeople, Snowgoons, Classified (before he became mainstream).
This is shit that influences me... So what influences you?
