im back yo. did ya miss me? i know some of you missed me.. like com, buddy, i missed ya too. i payed alot of attention to last week's battles and i must say.. this league is still goin pretty strong. theres some names i remember, and theres some new ones as well.. some of yall i even remember bein in Jr. when i was modding it. its kinda cool to see how far yall have came. and last week, from what i saw, was a pretty solid week. i think if com cracks down on the voting, there should be no problem in that aspect. it worked for vas last season, and it should work again, because no one likes losing to a voting technicality. especially in a league as competitive as this one, where one vote shy of the required 5 could be the difference between a win or a loss. with that said, my nuts are on fire.. so we'll hurry up and get to the battle reviews.
Battle Reviews
Eth'Real vs. Kontext
you know, i battled kontext earlier this week.. and me and him exchanged insults and whatnot outside of our battle and i clowned him saying his verse wasnt HW title worthy but in all honesty.. i liked his verse. i think the guy has skills, and he displayed it with his verse, but eth was just a monster. his sting and harshness couldnt be matched.. i felt instead of eth comin with complex punches he just went for the direct route and it paid off. a couple voters thought kontext did have the better verse, but the majority were on eth's side. eth won, and retained his title to defend it another week.
Coop vs. COM
coop is definitly better than the verse he posted. normally i see alot of original stuff from him and he strays away from coming played.. but this week was different from him. there were some old concepts he used that had me wonderin whether he was just typing the first punch he thought of, and even though coop had a couple nice punches COM came very consistent and won this quite easily. good verse. i look forward to the COM vs. Eth matchup this week for the title.. it should be highly entertaining and a close match up.
Reflex vs. Barbarism
this was a dope battle of the up and comers. at first i didnt know who reflex or bar was, but now i see them as the future of LLL. i havent seen yall in this league in any of the other seasons, but yall are definitly making your prescense known this season, and thats what counts. both of you had very entertaining verses and this battle was alot closer than what the votes portray. bar won unanimously with a dope verse but reflex should have no shame because he was on point as well. dope battle guys.
Cry vs. Wordzah God
i felt like both of you didnt drop to ur full potential, and the crazy thing is.. the verses were still decent lol. and i will say this.. cry, you are one of the most devoted LLL members i've ever seen lol. i dont remember one season where you weren't in the running at one point or another, so an off verse for you is earned every once and awhile. and wordz.. i remember you from Jr.. and man have you came a long way. long enough to were just a mediocre verse is below standards for you, and that says something in itself. cry won this battle by KO, but i look forward to seeing that more creative side i know both of you have.
Mariah vs. Bobericc
mariah, mariah. everytime you come back into the league i feel like your getting better and better, and this time was no different. even though you got stuck with someone who didnt show, you still dropped a solid verse, and you get props for that. so, props.
Dios de hip hop vs. Meters
wow. now this was a dope fucking battle. both of you came with complete fire and its pretty safe to say that yall took the battle of the week award aside from phly and kenny's battle, imo. the votes were all in favor of meters, but they also all agreed that this was a great battle as a whole, and it is a shame that meters lost due to missing links. its a very disheartening way to lose after dropping a verse of that magnitude, and i understand why you signed out and voiced ur opinion when you found out.. but im glad you decided to stick around because if you keep comin with fire like that you will be a major threat come playoffs. same goes for dios.
Advisory vs. Lethargic vs. Lyricist
well, this was one of the few battles that i felt disappointed after reading. advisory didnt even show, and as for the ones that did.. lethargic and lyricist.. well, i didnt see LLL standards in your verses. lyricist still has a lil while to go before he should be in here, and i could name a couple people in FL that are better than him, so i think its a good thing that lethargic posted just enough to win, because atleast with lethargic we know that at one point he was dope, and assuming he shakes the rust off and his job doesnt interfere with his battles like it has so many times in the past, he could be a decent cat amongst us.
Ted Nulb vs. Chrit
ted didnt come very good at all, and the voters reinforce this by hardly quoting any of his punches. chrit had a few punches that were dope as fuck, and he really didnt even need them lol.. and his verse was more than enough to win this one. i look forward to merking you sometime this season, chrit.
Burden vs. Blue Bayou
there was some controversy in this battle towards the end of this week. at first, it didnt look like bayou was going to show considering it was saturday and he hadn't posted a verse yet.. but he asked burden if he could still post his verse and being the competitive person burden is he allowed him and STILL won. being that it is bayou were talking about.. and he has been dope for forever i know there had to be a slight sense of worry in burden, giving someone that dope extra days, but burds verse was pretty hot and it won against a decent blue verse. good battle and sportsmanship.
Daz vs. Alpha
the battle of the negatives lol. both of them went 8 lines under the limit and didnt vote but the fact that daz posted his verse late put him further into the negative even though he had a few votes. each of you had one punch i liked within ur 8 lines, but both of you are going to have to be more dedicated by voting and posting the line limit min. alpha won by technicalities.
Kristian vs. Rule vs. Triple
Trip is the only one who showed in this battle, which sucks because rule could of probably beaten trips verse from what i remember from rule's standards. trip survives the boot match and gets the win.. but your going to have to come doper to compete in here bro.
Phlymo vs. Kenny the G
this battle was dope as fuck. both of yall had dope verses and i could see both of you making it deep into playoffs this season if yall stick around. some votes went phly's way, but the majority of them thought kenny had the better verse of the two and he got the win. still, both of yall could be a major threat this season.
Open Mic Disses And Com
anybody notice all of the open mic disses on com? wtf @ them all being wack as fuck lol. if anyone remembers, i posted a lil diss awhile back in the league because i was bored as shit.. and i came at COM and $pit, and i'd like to apologize to com. not spit lol. but just com.. because man, i see the work you put into this league and the shit you catch from people around here and you DO deserve some respect. really. we have you and vaskez to thank for the revival of this league, and the fact that u've stepped up to the plate this season to keep this place going displays not only your care for the league but ur maturity as well. you definitly dont deserve to be getting dissed by everybody and their momma.. and im ashamed to have taken part in this at one time. so im sorry man. on that note.. does anyone remember when open mic disses were the shit? when spit, lay doubt, jay walker, com, feeble, vylint and god knows who else were dropping complete fire in their open mic disses.. thats when that shit was entertaining. these kids today are just ruining the standards of an open mic diss and they for real just need to stop lol. i took the time to find some of the best open mic disses on this site, so for your viewing pleasure...

Power Rankings
1. Eth'Real
this dude is on fire, and i think it'll be hard for anyone to take the belt from him anytime soon. his strengths, to me, from what i've read from him this season is his sting and directness. he comes so direct that the sting and harshness seem unmatchable at times. he's going against a tough opponent in COM this week though, so we'll see if he can retain that title and the number one spot in the rankings next week.. which brings us to number 2 on this list.
2. COM
I could easily see COM taking this league by storm and winning another season. he's been nothing but consistent and he's come out on top in a lot of dope battles. he definitly has the experience factor, and his wit is astonishing.. if he were to get the title this week i dont think he will let go of it for a long time.
3. Dios
this guy's record tells his story. I didnt even know who dios was until last season when i read one of his verses against spit.. then i knew this dude was going to be a very strong contender in this league. he's pretty witty and consistently drops solid verses so watch out.. he's a tought opponent for anybody.
4. Kenny
i remember when i was modding jr.. i could just tell kenny was going to make a very strong competitor in LLL one day. it was obvious. the dude is so versatile.. he can be direct or complex, hit u with wit or with sting.. he's just an all-around great texter. this could be kenny's breakout season..
5. Phlymo
defending champ is always going to be a threat, but especially one that is dropping even hotter than he was last season. which is scary, because he was already dope as fuck lol. his witty wordplays are the greatest i've ever seen, and the fact that he can take the time to drop consistently dope 20 line verses and still diss everybody in the lounge with even hotter punches is crazy because its like this guy NEVER runs out of material to amaze you with. even though he's number 5 on this list.. i think he is the most dangerous, no joke.
Outro
it should be another great week in LLL.. especially with the recent sign ins of people like Hens and $pit, who we all know at anytime have the capability to take over the entire league. it'll be interesting to see the title matchup between COM and Eth, because i know both of them want that title pretty bad.. and both of them will come their dopest to get it. and will phly and kenny continue with their display of dopeness? will meters aim his anger of losing due to technicalities to his verse this week and blow everyone away? will chrit bite? will up and comers like reflex and bar continue their improvement? who will have a break out verse this week? who will have the title?
i guess we'll just have to find out..
