    I had read on a pretty reliable source *dont remember though... ugh...* that although it didnt make as much money, it was never about making money.
    lol @ them still making tons though.

    ^^A lot of bands are doing just that...

    The can sell 5,000 - 10,000 albums and take in 100% profit and are making more money than most signed artist....

    The internet by NO means ruined hip-hop or any genre of music....if nething it has made it plenty better.

    and to just make this very clear! Illegal downloading hasnt not hurt the industry at all.

    To prove that...

    Overall Record Sales in 2008.... was the most EVER in history.

    the only difference is that HARD COPIES (cd's etc) overall sales have dropped but LEGAL DOWNLOADING has like Tripled to make up for it and more.

    so there is little to NO argument.

    The ONLY downside is people can always find a way to download established artists albums doe free... alot of people (Chamillionaire, 50 Cent, etc. ) started as Kazaa or net artists.... they would have never had a mainstream buzz any other way it DOES help underground artists break thru believe it or not. I think it does more good than bad.
