yep.. lol 24" imac.. i upgraded from a gateway laptop which was constantly getting viruses even with protection.. so i figured i'd get away from laptop's.. and get away from windows.. plus i do graphics.. so the large screen area is helpful for me.

rather than get away from laptops, maybe you should just get away from downloading questionable porn... freak...

    that was your problem.
you were letting the viruses in past your "protection"
it's like you intentionally putting a hole in your condom

limewire is a virus breeding spot... especially for PCs.
that's your fault your shit failed.

    anyway...
the answer to your question is subjective.
    both DAWs are great
There are as many people who will swear by logic as those that will swear by PT.
I've never worked wit Logic, but i hear nothing but great things about it from all the top producers in the industry.
Plus Logic costs less and you get more than you would out of your DAW than wit PT LE.
The truth is tho... your not gonna make "better music" with either. If anyone tells you different, there a bullshit brainwashed salesman.

i dont see ow people buy in to the limewire shit over and over...

Re: Logic Studio (full) vs. Pro tools

lmao.. i knew the limewire was a bad idea but that's before i started making music.. i can honestly say i hear some kind of something atleast 17-18 hours a day.. i have to listen to music.. i learn from each song i hear now.. I'm not looking for help as far as like yes, maybe i can quit slurring on logic, or maybe i can fix slurs on logic.. but more like what am i limited more on, as far as mixing and having a "1-for-all" kinda program and not two hundred different programs to work with.. By the way if you ever get on aim i'd like to be filled in on the instrumenting you did on "hope i can" like the blending like kanye does.. that shit's bomb as hell.. i'm just lookin for some advice.. Pro-tools seems kinda over-rated in a way.. or more "professional as an all in one such as thru different genres'" then i'd need i don't need all the crazy shit it can do.. but cubase has bugs and shit and i'll try to normalize a track in cubase and it shuts completely down.. or the audio sync will fail out.. idk i just need a GOOD program. I got cubase free with an audiobox USB interface. I'm looking to get the M-audio i/o board.. it's about 1300 bucks..

If you want an all in one solution that doesn't need third party plugins then you definitely want Logic. It's packed with fancy plugins. As far as functionality, they both do the same exact things. They just do the differently. Logic users love Logic. Pro Tools users love Pro Tools. But both users usually hate the other program. It's just something about how different they are from one another. I am a Pro Tools user. But I have and am fluent with Logic and Cubase. They all do the same stuff. Some do some stuff better. Pro Tools has the advantage of being the industry standard and it has some key features that set it apart from the others. It has the most open routing ability and hardware control, but this is because it's tied down to specific hardware. But it's also the most inexpensive out of the major DAWs. Logic has a shit load of crazy VSTi's and some pretty nice VST FX, but it's mac only. Cubase has the advantage of not being tied to any one OS or hardware, but it's the most expensive. Another advantage of Cubase is that all Steinberg software works the same way with the same keyboard shortcuts and same graphical interfaces so if you can use Cubase you can use all the Steinberg programs pretty easily.

well hell mr. informative. lmao.. thanks man.. i'm glad there's actually people who know instead of man.. my momma's ex-boyfriend had logic in 95 and he said it was bangin!!! shit.. i need 08-09 software critics. lol.. but i think i'm gonna go with logic.. cubase LE seems a little buggy for me.. like i said normalizing a track shuts it down.. completely if the session isn't saved i lose all.

Try updating Cubase. A lot more people use Cubase than Logic, so it's good to at least have a working copy on deck for collabs etc. Also... you shouldn't be normalizing your tracks.
