I like the new Kanye shit. He's definitely on some other shit, but it's good tho. I like music... not just rap. In fact, rap is becoming less and less my favorite genre because of the cliche bullshit that rappers try to be or feel forced to live up to. Kanye is trying new things outside of hip hop so even though he is suppose to be a rapper you cant compare 50 and kanyes new albums because they are different genres now really. Kanyes new shit is ok i mean everybody got a spot for Mr West but hes not really doing something that im thinking wow, that shit is DOPE as hell, like the feeling i get when i listen to his rap albums

I guess Kanye just wants to be an artist now not a hip hop artist and the obvious bonus for him will be the dudes new shit will get across to way more people that wouldnt usually listen to hip hop which means $$$

this interview is obviously about rap, nice to know people still support kanye n shit but when he's currently doing music wayyy out of the genre of rap i think the comparisons of his music to other rappers should be avoided. not that i'm a 50 fan at all cus he doesn't really make any music i like anymore, i just feel like sometimes, just because Kanye ISN'T doing the same thing other rap artists are don't mean he should be favored over those rappers, cus atm he's not quite the college dropout we once knew.
