if he has no priors he'll probably receive a few years of probation. if he goes to a good rehab and completes it and gives that shit to the judge he could be eligible for alternative misdemeanor sentencing and get that felony off his record.
thats how it would go down if it happened here atleast...
if he got caught with 25 e pills and they tack on "intent to distribute", he's fucked.
they're gonna break down the contents of the pills (what the ratio of coke, heroin, and other substances are). and based on the potency they'll decide. honestly though, ex is considered a serious drug in a court of law. depending on his existing record, if he has one or not, he could be looking at at least a few months of being locked up. a few months for 25 pills is the best scenario he could hope for.

If he snitches the times reduced... if he gives every piece of information he knows its reduced with any fine... (he should only snitch if the suppliers dont know anythng about him)
I dunno how shit goes down in the US but if they think he was plannin to supply then he'd be doing around 6month here - sometimes more or less depending on circumstances
