That should be taken out. Who cares how many 3's someone puts up. It only matters how many they make.

well...I agree in some ways...however, it's a bit different in this situation
first, just know that every team in the draft will have a chance to get someone to help in this stat so no team really has an advantage...and secondly, any player can take a FGA...and luck is usually applied when taking a FTA because of fouls....but when it comes to 3PTA it shows that the player is not only a good shooter but also a risk taker who takes shots on the outside...agreed that it's not as important as 3PTM or 3PT%....basically it's a stat that rewards you for having players that roll the dice whether they hit or miss or shot

not really, as long as you draft smart and make sure all categories are covered by at least one player then you're straight...for example
need assists? draft Nash, Paul, D. Williams, etc.
rebounds? Jefferson, Ming, Howard,etc.
and so on
