"We're not a bunch of gamers here," a faculty member of the Parsons New School told the audience. "A project like this means much more to us than working with a new game. What we're interested in is collaboration, learning in new tools, in testing possibilities with environments and products we haven't worked with before. The experience we had with LittleBigPlanet this weekend is more than that."

Over the weekend, students from NYC's Parsons School worked for twenty four hours continuously with LittleBigPlanet. Their challenge? To create a level from scratch using early copies of the PS3-exclusive. With little or no background in the game, the students were able to create a wide assortment of hugely innovative and different levels.

There were a number of winners, across multiple categories. In fact, additional prizes were handed out by Sony due to the overwhelming number of great submissions. However, one level stood out as the single best level -- one created by Team Sportsmanship. We've lovingly dubbed the level "Shadow of the LittleBigColossus." Watch the video (above) and see why.


The 2nd Level design was badass.

i been watchin this shit for a while now

from what i seen so far the game is 2d style platform (3d environment) so it's gonna suck quite a lot just moving left and right jumping n shit. then along with that comes the create ur own world feature where u can "enjoy" creating detailed levels (including its challenges) for you to play or share with others, so i imagine the menu options to be like

-play little big planet
-create ur own planet w/e
-go online
-settings and options

assuming the create ur own is the main feature, the little big planet game is obv. gonna suck but you'd be forced to complete it to unlock more things to create with.

it's a nice gimmick for maybe a month but i see the novelty wearing out

i give a shit about what I think, i don't consider their ratings lmao, i'm not some sheep that makes my judgement based off them sites, i watched and read endless shit on this game for a whole year waiting to see what it really offered and by the looks of things, nothing at all. don't worry if it makes u feel better i'm gonna rent it and make my final judgement then.

I've seen many gameplay videos of it,1 video..will not change my mind lol.

Of course im going to rent it first,I do that with all new games..But I doubt I wont be buying it .

I highly doubt it scores anything less then 9..but we wont know until it comes out in about a month.
