1-2 Punch is on 1 Week Break

So... I don't know what happened the last couple of weeks but it looks like this league is completely falling apart.. I don't know if people are going back to school or whether real life is just too hectic but everyone gets a week break while I think of some creative ways to get this league active again

Here are some ideas I am considering (or will be) implementing so let me know what you think and suggest some of your own

1) PM people on the inactive list who are talented/ and or/ have good records and get them to sign back in

2) Advertising in other leagues (this site only)

3) Voting requirements.. some battles haven't been getting enough votes lately.. voting on the champ and contendorships will probably become mandatory

4) Revised playoff format
The 8 people with the most wins/ best record will get into playoffs automatically

The other 8 will be determined using battles only from Week 11 and onward, aimed at bringing in talented heads to revitalize the league.

5) Co-mod

Maybe having another mod will help? Otherwise what can I do to make this league run smoother.

6) Change from a win-loss system to scoring

7) Dividing the league into divisions

Let me know what you think, some of these ideas are more pertinent to next season than the league right now but I feel like I need to take action right now before this league gets any worse.

i feel like i have been doing ok logistically

i just feel like its good to have another co-mod in case something happens that could keep me away from the computer for a week or something, or if i start feeling burn-out the league won't suffer in the short-term

right now its just a lot of our better heads are signed out, less talented people are ranked higher than they should be (mostly due to no shows), and the last 2 weeks demonstrate a clear decline

The point system would be fine, but it would take you going back an adding up people's point. Or however you were gonna be grading the point scale, whether if you get more for ko's. Or what, that may take too much to do. An I don't think that would have an effect on battlers. Divisions, no..that won't help. I think bringin a co mod couldn hurt, an I also think voting on Champ Match, an Contendors should be made mandatory. And I also think you should impliment a rule, that someone has to have a certain amount of votes each week. Like post a link to each battle they've voted in, all you have to do is type a name, its not hard to vote on every single battle. Its just lazy faggot's is all. You've done a good job as mod, but you can't make everyone put fourth the effort to put up a punch and vote, thats' somethin people have to do on their own. I honestly don't think a one week break is gonna help. But maybe a week without it, will encourage a surge of activity when it comes back next week. So, it won't hurt either.
