I watched their cold eyes, look into mine, their skin so grey and torn
With a flash of light, I realize, into this life I've been reborn
It all happened so fast, the space craft, emerged from the deep
As I walked on the beach, I learned quickly it's I they seek
And I they keep...in their world of lights, red, green, white so beautiful to see
I was afraid at first, of my rebirth, into this sky....so free
The gravity of the sitaution has struck me as quite intense
As they pin me down with straps of brown...I stay on my defense
Then one of them speaks....in a tone so much unlike my own
It's English was polished....better than any I've ever known
"Do not fear the sight of us, for we do not mean you harm"
"We restrain you for our own protection....we do not mean to alarm"
I calmed myself down, the sweat began to bead on my face
A smile formed from a frown, I wonder if I should really fear space?
They brought me here so quickly, traveling in light itself
I left behind my family....Placed my entire life up on a shelf
I came at my own will....they asked before they took me
Fear caused me to nod in agreement....their presence truly shook me
The straps came undone, I stood beside one, and it took me by the hand
Over to a window, where I peered out at the Earth and all it's land
Tears formed under my sockets....my palms sweat inside my pockets
I had lost all that was good, all that mattered was long forgotten
When I realized this truth, I awoke, lonely in my earthly bed
The clock struck 3:15....a ring echoed in my head
Could this have been a dream? Just a nightmare of some sort?
Or was it a higher calling....a conversation with the Lord?
I now know of my purpose, my worth, my cause on this Earth
The meaning of life is clearer to me.....after my long needed Rebirth
