alright... I didn't wanna make a new thread, since I remembered someone already did...
went and saw this tonight, waited till it was in the dollar theater...
not bad really... good acting, well written, tense, some "gore" factor but not a lot, couple cheap scares... the story wasn't bad, they kept it movin' and made it suspenseful, but once the "happening" was revealed it was a real far-fetched idea... like, a "what the fuck, that's kinda gay" idea... they did a decent job with it though, just way too unbelievable for me... and the ending was kinda stupid...

The Village wasn't bad. It was just completely mis-portrayed by the trailers. Like, you spend the entire time expecting it to be a ghost or other creature movie, when its really not. But, the twists are what make it in the end.

that is a far fetched idea, but you gotta give shamalan credit for thinking outside the box. I dont think he actually makes HORROR movies... his movies are more based in conceptual "what if" type movies, like that old comic book.

This movie was an environmentalist propaganda film from start to finish. and the ending was garbage! The acting was great but this shit was 100% politically driven. I felt violated after paying $10 to sit in front of a save the planet commercial. fuck that.
