Death Of The Lies

A wounded body, a tortured soul.
A slit of the wrist and I lose control.
The sound of death screaming in my ear.
The sense of pain says I'm still here.

Tamed by my silver blades
A sense of pain and all else fades.
A trickle of blood, a scream of sorrow
It's all nothing but my scars of tomorrow.

The cuts are the only way
To stop the pain of everyday.
My life is slowly starting to bend
This shattered, you cannot mend.

I've given up on everything
My funeral bells have begun to sing.
Look at it this way, at least you won.
All the lies gone -death has been done

No more stupid foolish lies to be told,
Im sorry but the relationship had to fold,
No more will you be hurt - not one more lie,
Sorry I couldnt hurt you anymore - I had to die.

this piece seemed a little repetitive, though it was interesting at the same time. I thought for a second, "is this dood emo" cause it seemed like you really wanted to die for a moment lol. theres some cool imagery in this, it has a simplistic flow for which poetry sometimes needs, most poets dont use i guess. I wouldn't really call this a poem but more of a open mic maybe. overall this was a interesting piece, made me very curious but i obviously see this was for a loved one i guess.
