I'm just glad you guys didn't file a police report because that wouldve been a PAIN in the ass to deal with. I had to fax a sheriff a shipping receipt before.

Anyway, I see you both pmed me. I'll hit you up later with shipping details.

Brandon, shut your whore mouth. You'll get your price quote... now that I can't just send you one of these 2 PCs lmao that wouldve been classic.
lol I know right... and Paze... it's because as of right now... there is no true quad core... soooooooo why pay the extra money for 2 processors I will hardly use..? if it's changed in the last 3 weeks... shit let me know...

only AMD systems have true quad right now. AMD system are best for gaming and multimedia playback where Intels are much better for multitasking and multimedia processing.

Also, the AMD Quad cores don't benchmark better than Intel's. It shows significantly slower benchmarks when it comes to digital audio processing. Only thing I will say is that the new AMD runs Vista more efficiently than the older Intel models. But I would hope so. Intel's chips predate the release of Vista.

Intel Q6600 is a true quad... and arguabley better than AMD's Phenom 9550 and even the 9600. The Q6600 was released before AMD's Phenom and a lot of people call the Q6600 a true quad core and the Phenom a "true quad core" lol

its not a true quad. Its 2 core duos. And it has 4 cores running thru 2 busses. It's not true Quad at all. It does outperform the phenom in categories that apply to multimedia production. I already said this in my last post.

I never knew that... lol. I heard you can get it to overclock at 3GHz per core though which means a 12GHz total.
I thought no standard system could do proper video editing... is that true? Cause the many many hours of uncompressed video all running live in 1 project is just so damn big

Well, professional post houses use servers and render farms to handle file management, but you can easily build a render farm using multiple PCs. But a pc or mac workstation can handle a good bit of video and CG. Most project studios use avid systems or Final Cut for video post production.

Word. Ive used Avid a few times before cause I need to do a soundtrack project... Im sticking with Pro Tools for it though cause I dont need to edit the video more than cutting and shifting things to fit the audio I make.
Theres Sony machines and G5s for editing video in the department at college and theyre supposed to be the most powerful on budget machine for editing video.

Re: Brian... computer time... build it.

lol word. You gotta remind me of shit or I'll just forget about things I'm supposed to do and go smoke a bunch of weed and sit on RB lmao

lol for real tho... there's a cable missing and I gotta order one. I went to jack it out of cornerstones but his is missing too lmfao. Antec makes their case where the power supply is on the bottom. The problem is the power cables inside dont reach the spot on the motherboard so you need to install an extention cable. I mustve jacked the cables instead of ordering them for other people. I gotta order 2 new ones. They take like a week to show up. I might try to find a computer store that would carry them but its one of those weird parts that big stores don't carry.

and yes... i ran upstairs and pulled out the PC after reading this message lol
