    Poet-Tree readers/writers

word, I was curious to know the opinion of what yall think is a cool approach/style for writing poetry...I personally like when I read spontaneous types of pieces. I like the humor that some writers use sometimes, it seems really witty and cool. just wondering if people would agree or if not than what do they look for in a poem

I like being creative, coming at an abstract approach. Getting at random and unique topics. Feel me?

I appreciate anything with amazing imagery. But a poem that makes me feel is a miracle in its own.

i'm not a fan of all the abstract stuff in poetry.. in my opinion, say what you want and instead of trying to put 50 metapohrical meanings in it, just say it right.

word you have a point but thats what separates topicals from poetry you know. even though topicals are basically the same thing. theres no real difference except most people use topicals as more of a open mic/rap styled poem rather most poetry writers on this site go with the more metaphorical/imagery made poem. even just rappin is a form of poetry. any type of lyric is a form of poetry, writing stories as well in some ways but not all ways.
