Well I'm proud to say I'm the new member to the staff and I wanted to make a good impression by giving you dudes a quick nice little mag.Things been moving kinda of nice for a while now big up to those who help this forum out by voting and battling.Also let me say the new Poetry Battles belt helped bring alot of new heads over here,and the comp is looking pretty good.So all in all I must say things are running smoothly.BUT the voting is still lacking but now I added a new rule ya'll better peep,in order to set up a battle you need to have two links to where you have voted on a battle this should improve things a little.Also before I get into the mag let me say the new poll thing for the champ match is also working alot because since it was created we have not had a single champ match no show.TBFL is BACK BABY....

Fighting Tear Ducts

when the fear stops, you can't quite say enough
despite your strain to trust the doctors don't stop
they're against the disease, they won't doze off
clothes off - and you can still be aware
they only breathe to care, for you to breathe in air
you need to relieve and stare, stress won't help
but you can't help to go through the most hell
you think you won't tell, but then your feelings burst
you're yelling, leaving feelings hurt...
it's a real deep burn, you're escorted out
sitting down in a chair - supporting your doubt
mourning this now, but only about how it isn't fair
when really your only ability with precision is scared
your decision's to glare... at a clock with no hands
it beats and you hope it's theirs, your eyes romance -
those minutes as they go back... and forth
looking at family with a hopeful smile that's forced
and with time, square tile cracks scar your mind
either that, or it's the poor design
you're bored with grime and muck in the brain
struck as insane... your family hugs you in pain -
like a broken frame... you all pray, crushed
the door opens, and he walks straight up

The imagery in this piece was really nice man. Most def hof worthy I must add.You Painted some vivid images in my head when I read this shit.Your concept was your own in other words original,and unique but still dope.The emotion you put into this piece is what did it for me,its like you took the time to put some of your soul into this piece so congrats on becoming to first person to get your piece put in the TBFL Hall of fame..

Well I hate writing about myself but I think I have done more then enough to steal the number one spot.I'm the first poetry battles champion,also I defended my belt successfully one time and counting.Not to mention but also in every poetry battle I K.O'ed every opponent.Sitting in the ranks with the belt and also the most poetry points in history with 5 more I have the most points in TBFL History.
2.Cry.
The Topical champ as of now,no disrespect to Truth but I'm pretty sure it'll stay this way after this weeks champ match.Dude got the first Topical Battles Hall of Fame piece in this section,oh and not just the first one but the only one..When its comes to topicals this dude is a force he been on his A game for a while now knocking off Tim a (Legend) and Spekz a fucking great ass writer..Until cry falls off he will remain in this spot,and champ in my eyes.
3.Paranoid XL.
Now this is one hell of a writer he doesn't just do his thing in poetry but topical and fucking even text.He faced me in the poetry champ match giving me a run for my money.But what lands him in this spot is not that match its that even with that lose he still is sitting in a great place for a rematch.Plus with a few more points he will be in the Topical champ match.I really gave him this spot because this is one dude who votes on more battles then all of the TBFL writers I would have to say.Hands down when it comes to writing one of RB's best IMO .
4.Spekz.
I should just re type all the same shit I did for Paranoid because they both are actually the same.But this dude was in the champ match last week losing to cry which is why I gave him the 4th spot instead of a higher one.If you want to read more about spekz read a couple of Paranoid XL shit.
5.LedgenZ.
I hope you guys are sick of hearing this dude name as I'm lol naw.But this is the type dude you cant leave out of shit his skills are enough alone to beat everyone in the ranks no lie.His only problem is sometimes he doesn't come with his all and when he do he kills.If he keeps battling he will be in both champ matches mark these words..
Honorable Mention -Nsight.
I couldn't forget my main man.The only reason this guy right here isn't in the ranks is because he hasn't been doing all I know he can but when it comes down to it when he wants to snap he can.He has held the belt a few times already,just check his rap sheet it runs kinda long NO-HOMO lmao.......When it comes to keeping this TBFL running nice he was the only one up for task big shouts.

Week 37 -Topical Battles Championship: Cry vs. Spekz

Cry,you dropped some great imagery here ...great job. I really felt this was a glimpse of your greatest work, but it died down a bit. See, with you, consistency was never an issue, but here, it was and I feel that it's mainly because you rushed it, you know? The concept was very solid, and you didn't ruin the piece, it was still nicely executed, but nowhere near your best overall. Good job here though Cry.
Spekz,Good shit too man. I found this to personally lack a bit in flow, but like Cry's, you had some great imagery. You use the term "alright" a little too loosely, I mean, it came up twice when you needed to rhyme the "-ight" ending, so vocab was just decent here. You also seemed a bit rushed, and I don't know, the story was cool, but maybe a bit played. I found that this was decent at best for me, and although I read the whole thing, I wasn't really completely interested the whole way through. Good job to you too though.

This was a enjoyable battle you guys, both piece's were cohesive and had an decent or better flow to them, the message was clear overall good job to both. While reading beligerent piece, It had an nice rhythemic beat to it and it kinda read of as an topical, yet at the same to wouldn't do better as an topical piece and those are my favourite types of peotry it keeps me interested. Your piece seemed to be about a child in his prime looking or trying to find his way in life, idk if this suppose to be a reflection of you or not, but I figured it was too dry, it could've been more interesting if you would've used deeper vocabulary to enhance would be emotive lines, they were just their I understood how he felt, but thats as far as it went. Nyce on the other hand wrote about an man that reminded me of kratos off of god of wars lol, he seemed pretty badass, you decorated this piece with deep metaphors and similies and ended it with a rhythemic twist towards the end. Not to say your piece went without it's problems it's just that, none were really worth quoting and I'm satisfied with the read..same to bell, but I'm going to go with Nyce base off of skill shown, if I was going based of wich I liked better bell will get it. Nyce's was one of those sci-fi poems with deep meta's, I don't care to much for sci-fi while If some shit is going to make me think atleast make me think about some shit I care about lol.

i thought you came very Original, i mean the concept to the picture in which you detailed through your writing is so up to date with resent life in youth i loved the realness, the imagery was good also bro it helped me visualize the event's taking place throughout i also loved the darth vadar shit andthe wicked affect's, and yes it had no emotion but not all poetry needs emotion so blah.....good drop

yor drop although religious and should had seemed played but wasn't i thought your's was genius when it came to format, the imagery towards the picture dropped at the end was great, i loved the fact that you didnt show the picture until people understood your visual and discription on the piece first then they can see the picture....nice thats s0omething new for me, nice vocabulary also...
anyways paranoid in my view if you wrote more to your piece and released more details from your piece i beleive i might have saw this battle going your way....better luck next time dope battle.

I have to give my dude the number one spot he took place in the first poetry battle with me.Gave it his all,and when it comes to writing he's kinda of good if you ask me.Alot of people sleep on him,but trust me he's up n comer so be prepared to be woke up..

Well I keyed this mag up by myself because I was kinda of bored hope you dudes like I left a few things out I'll be coming back to edit them in.Ranks are all based on my opinion,the whole mag to be precise.Next time I'll be asking for help to kick out and even better mag.Lets keep getting this side of things back up and running and shit will keep going well shout to all who drop over here.
