Perfect sunsets make you cry
I lapped in a thunderstorm last night
I felt at home in the noisy lit up skies
Of my own insecurities
My blanket never questions me
She held me in silence - listening
To the violence of bolted decisions
She’s right - I open up my heart
Without fingerprinting, and then
When I find thieves among my temple
I lose my faith...I stopped praising
Her not so long ago, so she knows
What broken pedestals look like
She knows how to climb, up, in,
& reach me...She’s been bulletproofed
For the bad neighborhoods of my mind
Cloaked in the only ghetto she is familiar with
She loves me despite, leaving her, upscale
And alone - Last night, she offered
To be the pillow I laid my rain upon
I woke refreshed this morning
Determined not to come down again
Not to see a sunset from below
I am the horizon, cause she put

First off before even beginning to read I'd like to mention the dope pic's chosen for this write..


LedgenZ- Very descriptive verse in terms of imagery...and drawing the reader into the moment...you gave play by play visionarie in terms of wordig.....that's what I felt in a sense...as if you were speaking..in a deeper aspect....speaking as if you were mother nature..this whole part lead to dopeness IMO..and this to me wasn't even to par with some of your best work...but still enough to mind chill the reader...I liked it..then it's like you brought it to a level of highs and lows in life...like she's right...you fell for it...got played and gave up..so now...she knows...in fact...at least that's my POV...you had some strong content without all the abstract wording...in a sense....with enough emotion behind it to place emphasis on the message you were conveying...

Opus- Based off the wording and style of LedgenZ part...yours began kinda akward...with the rhyme based style...the first stanza I wasn't really a fan of it seemed a bit cliche....I mean don't get me wrong...it was good and all..but it after a while it kinda got blahish...then after the pick you came back strong..with some well related meta's to draw the reader back for the ending..kinda seemed like the you and Ledge's parts were totally opposite but had the same meaning...he describe the sun as mother nature while speaking of a woman..and you described the sun as a woman speaking of mother nature...or vice versa...that's how it read to me..I may be wrong..and just thinking all out the box cause i'm high..but that's what I got out of it..so

good shit from both..and I don't know if I know enough about poetry to keep noming pieces..but personally I enjoyed this read..so...props on a good drop fellas..

Ledgenz- the flow was edgy at the beggining man. Like it just didn't seem that catchy at all to me. But after a while it cought up with itself. The imagery was just beautiful dude and I really liked the descriptives you used here. The emotion was amazing and all in all you kept a well, obtained, wordplay. Enjoy the stanza a lot dude. Keep writing.

Opus- really liked it dude. Kept a well balanced flow through the whole piece, never once skipped a beat. The wordplay was really well done, as far as choice in words and placements go. The syllable count was great. And the imagery was beautiful, really painted a sculpture in my mind. Emotion was great.

the collab was brillian guys, keep writing. Loved it.

very well written I liked the recurring lines of..."Still the sun will shine"......
this piece was very upbeat and that doesn't seem to be LedGenZ favorite style as of now.....Alot of his pieces seemed kinda dark in my opinion.
but it was fun to see you right something that came from a place of cheerfulness......CAN'T GET THESE LINES OUT MY HEAD:
