other programs are only better if you know how to use their advanced features. If you're just fuckin around recording over peoples beats then don't sweat it.
Just got Audition 3, to replace cool edit 2.0 on this comp...
looks like audition 2... but it has alot more features, and it FINALLY has midi... the midi usage is not really that practical in the mulittrack mode, cuz you can only see your notes in the midi sequencer... but the fact that it even has a midi sequencer is a nice step for adobe...
i started to make a beat in it, and it got kinda confusing real quick... but with time, i could see people using it to make midi based music.
what i DO like about it is that you can add effects to midi tracks. They esentially function as 2 tracks. in one i suppose, like the new audio/midi channels in pro tools.
the routing leaves much to be desired in audition though... its not really helpful when your using something like FL studio VST... its pretty no descriptive.
it is ok with other multu channel vst plugs though, that have clear cut "channel 1" and "channel 2"....
a nice upgrade overall. I recommend adobe users to get a hole of it.
Welcome to reality.
