Forgotten Emotions at midnight
They've returned...........................
Now everything is NOT all right.
Small crimson screams erupt in the dark
Silent cries of a broken heart
Words of a story that endlessly bleed
Laughter that was drowned in a dark red sea
Music that murmurs in your ear
Subtle horrors for you to hear
Memories that claw at your skin
Tearing at your soul deep within
You've been consumed by your demons again
And this time it seems there is no end
They've come to choke you; make you die
They're going to drown you with the tears you cried
Red eyes sneer, "Come, let's play."

lost in this etch,my life is sketched
stretched like rubber,just a lover caught in this net
a vet of escaping situations,what ive been placed in
dont like what you see...erase him,look in the mirror
youll never face him,sounds of shallow souls gettin nearer
visions clearer as i peer from tha corner,its grasps adhesive
shoulders feelin warmer,i laugh to show im not scared
in the least bit,so atleast get away from your self
loosin large amounts of health,no wealth so im poor

It grabs me...

Taste of haste -
longing for a tongue full,
of soul warming liquid.
Riptides rushing,
pushing the clouds down,
until my vision's foggy.
When I wake up,
I'm dizzy and groggy;
sadly, I call up my friend,
wanting my friends.
They're fiends to life,
not a chance that he'll -
exceed my price.
Listening to music,
my 'groove', I'll tune it,
turn it to my favorite,
'I feel like dying'.
In a way I can relate,
but its late -
I need to drown in my lake.
Fizz is business,
my bladder's too full
cups won't fill this.
Pain medication's failure,
so for now,
I'll puff puff pass as I feel less.
Once a memory and once a habbit,
it grabs me, day by day..
I don't care though,
just give me a bottle,
a joint -
and tomorrow give me my grave.

My Take-

I explored life’s mysteries
From the outside.
Mr reason and rationale
My guide
A dark star hanging above,
Never touched
By the hurts and trials and blame
That plagues
Those living inside this cruel game

For what matters the success
Of a career or the love of a girl,
What does it matter the will of congress,
Of government, of a chat show
Or what happens on soap tv,
Or in the life of a celebrity
When all is meaningless.

I pitied the poor fools,
Playing the game
And obeying the rules
Never even aware
That everything they did
All their problems
Are utterly meaningless

For what is the purpose of us?
I challenged the universe for an answer,
I set my mind against the abyss
I spurned acceptance,
Chose thought over chasing a kiss
I sought order in chaos,
I attacked religion, dissected philosophy,
Examined policy with a microscope,
Tore apart ethics in the vain hope
Of proving my worth
Of finding something of worth
Some meaning.
I laughed to myself
While petty others blithered and talked
Of meaningless s---e
Others danced while I thoughtfully walked
Convinced I was a right
And that compared to the power of the mind
And the quest for answers
All else was meaningless.

Now, now I am betrayed.

By my own mind.

By my own flesh.

The towers of intellect
Come crashing down
In flame and thunder
Ideals and values,
Ripped asunder,
My fortress of reason
A shattered ruin,
It’s strong walls
An empty shell,
A mockery,
A vision of hell
An empty universe
Or a twisted God,
Bridges of thought
Falling into tumultuous
Churning waters
Logic lost in the endless
Unfathomable depths
Of desire.
All that I stood for
All that I hoped for
All that I fought and strived for
Is meaningless
Compared
To her.
