When Gravity Never Mattered



the spindle on the spinning wheel turns backward
a mass of eyes watch from behind...
walls rest their backs on our backs for once
they lean on us for help...
"please rebuild, gravity is stealing our bricks!"
stripped into nothingness. a deterioration nation
prouduced by tragedy and hand made by drama.
the consistencies equivilent to inconsistencies
falling up becomes possible -
gravity's actions become the opposite,
a cataclysmic metropolis.
the walls try to save their own leaning posts...
by sticking cables out to hold the chairs.
"please, oh please... hold us in the air!"
we're objects... they're beings
we're walls... they're gripping hands -
slipping slowly into the sadness of a bland,
almost forced, suicidal decision.
we the people, let go of what we were saving
leaving a wall as battered as our country
and making it so gravity... never mattered.
