Is the Mp3/file sharing era killing the music..?

Like, do you think that it is good for the music industry by getting more exposure to lesser known bust just as dope heads, or is it depleting profits, making the music less important to alot of dudes in turn making music suck? What are options the industry could do to help?

Who cares how you get it, why would it affect how they make their music?

Artists that are simply after money might lose incentive to carry on recording, but hey alot of the time those are the artists i'd rather run out of the industry anyway. Bonus.
Real artists that record to perform and enjoy the music won't have their love for music affected. They'll still continue to perform and produce equally good.

I download mainly, but for artists that i actually regard skilled i'll go and buy the CD/Vinyl.

The music sucks because the music sucks.

People are all bitching up Rap sales "its cause they download music blah blah blah" when Rap music is the only genre losing sales, you know why? Cause everyones music sucks and their just ringtone artist. These guys can sell 2 million ringtones but they cant go gold because they make wack music with no creativity.

nah... you just havent seen any of the websites for other music genres that pirate music. It is legal in some european/ canadian countries so for example, Poland has one of the biggest clubbing/house music websites and they post stuff from artists all of the world, but mostly the mainstream stuff that everyone wants to download anyways

This is a good thing. . . . this way, the only people that will make music are the ones that actually want to make good music. . . not faggots ruining shit for the money. .
