when I record I can only get 1 track/ up to do so...how do I get multiple tracks up so I can do adlibs and shit

when i right click it gives me the option to open up a MIDI Track (which is for a piano it looks like) or a Folder Track...
but I noticed everytime you record it creates a new one so n/m...it's not a big deal
shit.. i thought it just add'd the track as u hit the record button.. i got acid 6.0.. its pretty simple to use.
