A few admins know what company I work for because of it. That company is the nuber 2 defense contractor in the US, well I guess we can now claim the number one spot, but I have always felt like we were number 1.
It's not at all uncommon for a person to be contracted by the US department of defense for their expertise in a particualr field/science. Really, it's not hard to get your degree and find a position in the defense field. People are leaving by the mass numbers now days, so don't be suprised if one day you finish school and find yourself working on cutting edge technology, that would require such a commitment. I wanted to be an engineer, I just happen to be one of the best at what I do. Trust me, it can happen to anyone (well not the stupid anyones).
