    BodyWeight Excercises > All

    Real talk. I've stopped dong weighted excercises and im so much more explosive and powerful. Hand stand pushups, dips, pullups, gorilla chins, squats, elevated pushups, sprints, burpees > anything weights can give you.

    Right now, I dont see anybody fucking with me in the ring thats an amateur the other day I sparred with someone who gave me a work over couple months back, and I wrecked him, I knocked him onto the ground with a hook, and my jab is stronger than my hook.

    In bball I was hooping yesterday, my speed and jumping is just so much better and powerful, i was knocking niggas around..

    Opinions?

    What's the routine like? Do you still do sets and reps?

    wtf does any of that mean?!?! i know wat pull up and pushups are...thats about it.

    I can do most of it at home: handstand pushups, elevated diamond pushups, situps, stretches burpees. But I still keep my membership for when im not boxing so I can put on some muscle, and for bikes, stair climbers, and the track.

    I goto the gym and I do 40-60 dips

    20-35 wide grip pull ups

    25 gorilla chin ups (these will shred ur stomach, u may feel like throwing up, for a few days after ur stomach will be so sore that u wont have it in u to do for more 25 situps real talk.)

    Than at home I try to do 300 + situps throughout the day

    150 + pushups, elevated, regular, etc.

    30 + hand stand pushups..

    My body is so hard right now its sick, I took off my shirt and never have I heard people say "damn nigga u been working out?" Even when I was in nice shape, right now im just so shredded like a natural shredded. I feel as if lifting massive ammounts of weights arent natural anymore I dont know why, I feel better, and my metabolism seems faster. My appetite is nice too.

    Yup. Im not exagerating either. I've learned to sotp myself before I reach "failure" on an excercises. Whenever I leave the room i do 25 pushups before I leave, and I may do only 20, if ive done alot. I dont get myself to the point where I cant do 1 more rep, i've got strives off that. I think working urself to failure ur on an excercise isn't good.

    I'm having a hard time controlling doing too much and doing too little...

    like sometimes I'd do like 10 reps per each set, and then at the last set I can do like 20 reps before it hurts... lol

    I dont know. I guess i'll never know, but I can assure you I never lifted heavy enough to get MUSCLE FITNESS MAGAZINE HUGE. More ro less I just lifted decent, to stay in shape, I feel stopping the weights has actually put me in the best shape of my life.

    You can try it.

    A gorilla chin up is this.

    Theres a pull up bar, and usually on the pull up bar, theres wide grip, normal grip, and sometimes to little "handles" side byside. I grip each handle, and pull myself up while bending my knees and bring them up to my chest, sort of like im trying to do a 360 over the whole entire bar.

    I do it more "manly" I actually pull myself up while bring my legs up, I also bring my legs higher and close to my chest. Than I drop as far as my arms will reach. My body is so hard right now. I used to when sparring rather take ehad shots than body shots,but now my body is able to hold more pain because my body is so hard. It works everything from ur thighs to ur chest to ur shoulders.

    Incase your wondering a pull up bar is vast, you can do L pull ups.

    Where you do a normal pull up but u shape ur body into the letter L bring ur legs straight out and pull urself up as high as u can, works everythign a nomrla pull up would + ur stomach..

    Or a washing machine, where you hold on and twist ur body from side to side to work ur love handles.

    Yo man I pretty much agree with you. I mix in most of these exercises with weight exercises and I've been gettin great results.

    The ones I do are push ups (elevated, regular), sit ups, boxer crunches, squats, calf lifts, dips, pull ups, gorilla crunches. I'mma start searching for more body weight exercises like this.

    Weights aren't that good for you... they give you more muscle mass to strength ratio... and only helps you with lifting.

    The excersises you're doing now are 100x's as good.. because you're practising against your own body strength.. and getting more strength to muscle mass ratio. That's why you can run faster, jump higher, probably feel lighter, higher motablism and your muscles are a lot harder.

    That's why bruce lee never did weights.... (i don't tihnk)... always 'body weight' training.

    I'm too lazy to do shit.. plus I got a natural toned body so i ain't complaining

    Werights are used to increase strength. Im not trying to be a lumberjack or a construction worker, I want to be a boxer, and I dont need the extra mass to slow me down. Now if I was a heavy weight, yu god damn believe id be benching like mad.
