Saturday night: Feburary 10, 1990
Tommorrow's what I await yes my freedom to states
Can't sleep I lie awake as the sun sets in it's place
Thoughts flash of my past 27 years inside
From flase acquisitions on my position or role in apartheid
Locked inside this cell for years the nights and the days
Life's pleasures I've been denied and deprived for decades
Jail reinforced habbits were already entrenched
Cold nights and hot mornings causing a bodily stinch
The mind thumps as the mine dumps remind us
Of this confined lust for the diamonds that they grind up
All this time I've been lockdown I sit and think of my child
And how I got charged serving a sentence in the Rivonia Trail

Sunday Morning: Feburary 11, 1990
So it's ya big day Mandela! says the guard when he speaks
As he slides a plate of porridge, fruit, milk and prepared sheep
Yes it is, im anxious for a better society my feelings are churning
Never wavering my devotion to democracy, equality and learning
Upon Freedom's presence some prisoners wish to evade with him
Despite terrible provocation, I never answered racism with racism
Anxiety overwhelms this realm of our now private society
Rioting at the helms compelled in our newly found soberiety
Tiring yet well rested for my derailed investments
My delegation suspended weapons from detailed questions
First plans upon Earths lands a daughters demand
The cursed man in hurts stance seeking a first chance
In a life that symbolises the triumph of the human spirit over mans inhumanity to man..
On this day in history Nelson Mandela was released from prsion....and continued to liberate his country....
