word.. one of my proffessors is merlyn vanreganmortor.. he apparently engineered ray charles last album before he died... he sold me on those mics.. we spent a large portion of a semester comparing the 414 to hundreds of other mics in many different situations... ever since then i promised myself id get a matched pair of them
