    Question

I own a firewire 410 and a rode nt 1a, and i use acid pro 6.0. IT seems like, with increasing frequency, i'll record and half of it will record and the other half is an annoying buzz. Also, on the side it shows the db bar that tells you how loud you're recording, and that freezes. Not the entire program, just that.

Basically, what my question is, is why this is happening and what it is.

I record on a laptop, could that be part of the problem?

    Thanks for the help

    Re: Question

your specs are fine. honestly i had crazy problems with my 1814 and was forced to get a different motherboard.... the mobo was junk tho. my problems were similar to yours altho they included the computer locking up. in your case you cant change the mobo tho. what laptop do you have? look up the specs and see if its using a Via chipset. i think it conflicts with non intel chipsets. this is why i only build studio PCs with intel chipsets.

i'll definitely check that out. I'm also looking to buy a pc very soon, and i'm assuming you're still in the pc building business....
