well i was @ the local guitar center today n i saw 3 things i wanted to cop:

1) this studio bundle which comes wit 2 studiophile bx5s, m-audio nova mic, m-audio preamp (i cant remember name), this program n some samples, n a mic cable for $500

2) rode nt1a - $200

3) this reflection filter -$300

altogether = $1000

since x-mas n my b-day is rite round the corner i figured this would go on my list

i was jus gon get a 2nd opinion b4 i make ne decisions

what ya'll think?


ps: ill be sellin that m-audio nova, mxl 990, n akg 100 mic n tubemp preamp n behringer eurorack ub802 as well as a mic stand, so if ya'll want ne of these, get @ me after x-mas n ill be glad to sell

that's just wasting money on shit... you can spend 1000 on MUCH better equipment...

1st fuck the studio bundle...

2nd get the nt1a mic... buy some cheap monitors... I assume you have a sound interface already...

3rd get a 500 dollar pre...


OR...


get a grace 101 mic pre... = 500...
get a new interface... emu 1616... mbox2pro... etc...
then sell your shit... and then buy a mic... the Rode K2 is hotness... the AT 3535 and 4040 are dope... as well as the akg's... if you're going to be spending 1000-1200 anyway... might as well get something worth the money...

u can cop this bad boy right here, $200, or with faders and more inputs for $300... anyone i got it and its clean as hell, its an interface, usb into the comp and u dont need the pre amp or phantom power, its already built in. im bout to upgrade the mic and my setup will be sick

The MBOX is an interface. Interface meaning Soundcard+Preamp all in one. I'd go with the EMU 1616 and then go try out mics. I wont recommend any specific mic since different mics sound good on different people. And what one person thinks sounds good another may think sound like ass so go form your own opinion,u wont regret.

honestly... Maudio 410 = 300... emu 1616 = 400... emu 1616m = 500...
all good interfaces... just more options with more money...


go try out mics... true indeed... the 3 I mentioned will work pretty much around the board...


get one of the interface AND the pre... the interfaces have preamps on them... but buying a pre will only make the sound better...
