VOTES.. a new reward

Anyone who votes on 6 battles gets +1 votes in their battle.

So if you vote on 12 battles, you'll get +2 votes. This is to reward people for participation because no one, and I mean NO ONE, deserves to win if they don't help make the league a more involved place.

This will only be a valid offer if you post links.. so post em.


and tell me what you think about this.. I'm open to opinion.

I don't think that's what will happen. and that's the point - if you DON'T do it, and your opponent does, you WON'T cancel out their votes and they can win.. so..

I think the idea is good, but I don't think you should do it. Either make voting mandatory or don't. You can always say battlers have to post more links. The only way you should get votes is if someone thinks your verse is better than your opponents.

Just make slightly tougher voting rules. Like 5 links instead of 4 or whatever it is now (I forget). That should force people to vote. Oh, also, close any battles that are already blowouts - I think the main problem is that people continue to vote on battles that already have a lot of votes.

So what I'd suggest is to have some system where any battles that have somebody up by 8 votes or more are automatically closed. Something like that. thats tough though, cuz there are rare cases where somebody is up by that much n their opponent has come close, or even more rarely won.

I don't really like this reward $pit. I don't think there should be an outcome of a battle winner due to voting on other battle's, it should be a matter of opinion's from other voter's.

but I think participation should count. nobody's voting. and if everyone votes on six battles, no one will get free votes, and every battle will have votes in it..

but whatever. we'll stick with what doesn't work.

The votes aren't that bad, its the no-shows, which leaves less people to vote. I just vote on every battle, but I dont think if I vote on 6 battles I should get a free vote, cuz the best verse should always win, regardless if the nigga doesnt vote alot.

but if u were a vote down close to the deadline, bang out 12 vote n hey presto youve won. that would be wrong


what About doing it the other way around?.....make it 6 votes mandatory
and -1 vote for every link you are missing?

but i spose if you were absoloutely whoring someone then you wouldnt need to vote. hmmmm

just keep the system as it is but upp it to say 5 vote required or d/q
that wud upp votes, n no one could cheat the system
