Rode K2 Problemss

I jus got my rodeK2 Today.... I ordered so much shit.. its two shipments... so I get my EMU 1616 tomorrow..... I'm trying to hook the K2 up to my M-AUDIO Mobile Pre... so I got mogami cables running from the power supply on the k2 TO THE MOBILE PRE.... and u know the Mobile Pre has it's own phantom power without the option of turning it off.... and when i try to record.. i jus hear humming..... I tried the GND and LIFT switches... THE GND switch has the hum to it... the LIFT switch has no sound at all.... is there anything i can do or try...LOL.... or should I JUS STFU AND WAIT FOR THE EMU 1616 TOMORROW...? LOLLL

wait for the 1616... you're picking up line nose from the power cord of the k2... run your mic and power cords at perpendicular angles... like an x... that'll help... but the mobile pre is shitty so that'll be a big part of it...
