u dont...unless u get a plug-in, or u can try to figure it out using the metronome...

but if u go here: www.kvraudio.com ...then do a searxch for a plug-in called "BeatCounter"....u can use that, and it'll calculate it for you.

I won't persecute you because of this reply... however... try to make them about the thread... or atleast tell him where he can "get a copy" of acid...

ahhh...aight....u dont need to know the bpm to do that....u asked the wrong question....
take what u wanna chop n screw, into the wav editor screen on adobe audition....select what u wanna slow down or speed up, then go to Effects>Time/Pitch>Stretch...and make sure its set to Time Stretch Stretch or Resample....
and youll get it from there.....but sometimes with chopped n screwed stuff, it isnt stretched, but they only lower or raise the pitch.....in that case go to Effects>Time/Pitch/Stretch.....but make sure its set on Pitch....if u cant figure it out....then u should learn some shit before u try to chop and screw something...cuz thats mad simple yo...one of the first things i ever learned...

and by the way, youd be better off just gettin a copy of Fruity Loops man.....adobe ain really made for makin beats..u CAN make beats with it...but its a lot more complicated to use for beats than fruityloops...with fruity loops, it WOULD be just as simple as changin the BPM...
