What are the harness/gunstrap kind of things like detectives/officers wear called?

Kind of like a harness that goes around the shoulders/back.

Also - Trane from GETTING UP (the game) wears one. If there is a difference between Trane's and a standard Detectives strap thing, let me know.

If anybody could give me the names of all the types, i'd love it, i've googled everywhere with everything i can think of. Andandand, the type with the more pockets on the straps, the better.

Most dectectives where the shoulder holster because they dont have to wear a uniform, therefore dont where the large police belts that a regular officer puts his holster on.

I just played that Getting Up for the first time and the game sucks, but his straps for his cans is a good idea. But i can't find anything like it anywhere lol.
