I like it too, I can relate but it makes you think in a different way. The only thing is that it's short just needs some more build up of emotions before the twist.
if this is a five parter i think it would make for a more interesting series if you made the other 4 a little longer, so you can get EVERYTHING you have to say out. the topic you chose is pretty interesting in itself so i'd look forward to the rest. i liked the thing you did with these lines...

though i couldnt figure out the relavence of it, still added a little somthing i guess. overall good job though, the poetic value was deffinatly there.
